My name is El. I am the god of the Canaanites, or at least I was. Many of you have forgotten about me because my son betrayed me. Of course all of you know my son as he is worshiped my many. You may know him as I am, I am Who I am, Yahweh, Jehovah, The Lord, The God of Israel, or simply God. So how did I end up here. I had wife named Asherah who was the most beautiful being in existence and had a total of 70 children. We lived peacefully but I felt at the time that we should create other beings since we thought that since we had the power, why not use it to make something good. Of course you all know the story and how it went bad. I can't say that I'm completely blameless since I didn't stop these things from happening. Unlike my son, I don't claim to be all powerful or all knowing. Well this is my story...
Yeah so I had this idea of a retelling of the bible but with a twist. This will be loosely based on the Canaanite religion. Why? Because that's what the bible is based on. So the story will focus on the relationship of El and Yahweh and what happened behind the scenes in the events of the bible.

I think I will enjoy reading your story. I was aware of the fusing of two gods in the Bible but I did not know much, so you have caught my interest. I only recently read about the real version of Adam and Eve with Lilith?

Yeah though there is some confusion in itself about Lilith and the snake. Whether she was or she was with it.

There is a Michelangelo painting featuring a snake - woman, I saw a flash - image of it on a Aron ra You-Tube video.

If people knew that fact, christianity is a polythiestic faith.

You would be wrong. Polytheistic is not the right term. Monolatrism would be what would fit the Abrahamic religions. Since the characters recognized other gods but only worshiped one.

I never knew a term like that existed.

Oh yeah. It's a strange concept but it makes sense. I mean the Torah best tells us this. They make mentions of other gods who were part of their religion. Most notably Baal.

So the Jews are right?

Honestly. Their story did have some truth in it. It is true that they went into campaigns against other tribes. Yahweh was originally the god of war and the bible does talk about a pact between him and the Hebrews to make him the main god. the way it would be done is to kill the other tribes that worship El (His father), Asherah, Baal, and the other gods. The strange thing is that the Mormons actually recognize the existence of El.

So most Christians worship a war god? With some of the stuff in the Torah and the Bible it figures.

Yeah it's true. When I read that he was the Canaanite god of war, I thought. "Hmm. That explains so much." But reading Genesis. It kind of shows that Yahweh didn't create the universe but it was El and the rest.

Yeah because I got this idea because as I read the bible. It gets very strange as to who the god of the bible actually is. Is it El or Yawheh. Actually it's both.
